Hi! I’m Virginia, and I’ve been running for over 15+ years. I began running with my high school cross country team and never looked back! I have raced every distance from the 5k to the Marathon, and even completed my first ultra marathon in the spring of 2018.
My educational background is in Exercise Science and Physical Therapy. I have been treating, and still treat today, as a PT for over seven years. I am also an RRCA certified running coach since 2016.
My approach to coaching is multi-factorial. I believe in steady progression of load and volume to avoid development of injuries. I also am a strong believer in the importance of strength training; thus you can expect to spend time performing common strength exercises when working with me. Finally, I offer guidance on nutrition for runners and can provide meal/snack suggestions to help make sure you are getting appropriate nutrients necessary for successful training.
